MBD AT
THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA
Development of Mathematics for Business Decisions at the University of Arizona began in 1998. With full implementation of the program in 2001, we now enroll approximately 1,000 freshman and sophomore business students per semester in a two-course sequence, Business Mathematics I and II. These courses, which are taught in sections of 28 students, carry prerequisites of algebra and basic computer experience with Windows and Microsoft Office.
Arizona provides one possible model for the implementation of MBD. Other colleges and universities have found different approaches that work well in their particular settings. For complete information about the University of Arizona model, visit our local course web site
